Movie Description
The Anaheim Angels Eddie "Steady" Everett's career has begun
to tank and now he is forced to be a father to his 10-year
old daughter.. An error that
Eddie made years ago in the American League pennant still
haunts him which led to the demise of his confidence and his
family. Hoping to restore both Dad's confidence and their
family, daughter Laurel prays that God would help Eddie pitch
the way he used to. The real curveball comes when a team of
second-string angels are sent to answer the prayer.
Reviews from our users [Review this film]
"I enjoyed this much more than Angels
in the Outfield (1994) as it was funnier and had a better
story. Having the devil show up and battle up against the angels
was a nice touch. The ball play was a little weak as the film starts
with Eddie Everett pitching and the umpire is calling pitches that
are clearly out of the zone, strikes. The camera usually panned
away or ahead before you could see players swing and throw. Oh,
by the way, since when do the Angels play on astroturf? Eddie Everett,
the Angel and Eddie's agent all had some funny lines which is where
you should focus your attention rather than on the baseball." --Jason of Baseballmovie.com
