"Double. A cheap imitation of the original. This film should never have been made as it only cheapens the original, The Sandlot. The entire film just tries to duplicate the first one but fails miserably in every attempt. The most disappointing part of the movie is, for the most part, it's not about baseball! You never get the impression that these kids love to play baseball all day long. This movie is wrong on so many levels I can't even go in to it. The only stimulating scene in the film was watching the rocket blast off."

"I LOVE THIS MOVIE!! THE WHOLE POINT OF IT WAS SO IT WOULD BE LIKE THE ORIGINAL SANDLOT AND DAVID MICKEY EVANS DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB OF THAT!" --Carley
"Home Run. I love this movie! People say that it is an imitation of the original, but the thing is it almost had to be. If you take this movie and compare it to other sequels, which one over all had a better plot. They kept the plot because it was a winner. and changed a few things in order to make it different. In fact, I can definitely see both movies happening in real life the way they were portrayed. Over all, if you liked the first movie, at least give the second one a try, or if you really want to like it, see the sandlot 2 first, then the 1st one. I did, and i love them both. It's the way summer should be, coming from the most athletically challenged person on earth." --Sakura
"Strikeout. I absolutely loved the first Sandlot movie and was thrilled that they made a sequel. However, I could not even make it through the pile of crap that is Sandlot 2. The plot is a direct ripoff: they didn't even create any new characters, just used different actors, and they use direct quotes from the Sandlot out of context in a way that makes completely no sense and really just cheapens the first film. The modifications they made to the plot are extremely weak and don't really have anything to do with baseball. If you liked the Sandlot, just pretend this one doesn't exist and save yourself the trouble."
