Movie Description
California Angels scout Virgil Sweet will lose his job if
he doesn't produce a phenom soon. When his car breaks down
on an old country road it proves to be a blessing in disguise
as Virgil discovers hard-throwing Sammy Bodeen. Despite having
no pro ball experience, Virgil is able to convince the fireballer
to sign with the Angels. Wanting to make a quick buck, Angels
ownership launches a massive marketing campaign promoting
the newcomer. Sammy, a good ole' country boy, just wants to
play ball and now Virgil is caught in the middle of the fiasco.
