Reviews from our users [Review this film]
"This true story is every father's dream, who passed on baseball for a career, but then was given one last chance to "make it" in the big leagues The interaction with Jimmy Morris's family, parents and his high school team adds some depth beyond the baseball aspects of the movie. This is the kind of movie you want to see with your kids just to see their reaction and then find everyone rooting together for the "Rookie" to get his chance. If you don't get goosebumps when those scouts all are checking their radar guns, in the pouring rain, when they realize they have this "old guy" throwing 98mph fastballs, then check yourself for a pulse." --Jim of Bethesda
